My husband and I went to France for our honeymoon and made a point of trying the creme brulee whenever possible. I've yet to attempt it myself, but this seems so basic I think I'll try!

Looks delicious!

I really hope you guys do get a chance to make the creme brulee! If you have extra time, try out the vanilla bean technique so you get real vanilla bean in every bite ;)

Joy: I found these spoons at Surfas in Culver City. It's a restaurant supply/gourmet food store, almost the size of a small warehouse. These spoons were hanging on a metal bar almost hidden behind everything else, but still caught my attention... practically love at first sight! the only problem is, they're not that practical =P

I made creme brulee once, but it didn't turn out too well. We didn't use heavy cream, because we were trying to "lighten" it up. What a mistake! I'm keeping your recipe and instructions.

Mmmm! Amazing! This is one of my all time favorite desserts and your recipe looks just about perfect. I recently took a cruise in the South Pacific and we had Creme Brulee nearly every night. I wrote a review on Cruise Critic and someone was asking for a recipe, I will post a link to this post! Thanks so much!
